“From Dark To Light” is the title of the debut album by the magical band PARHELYON (meaning “sun
dog” in English), which will be released on October 24, 2025 via Metalapolis Records. PARHELYON’s
music is a mystical blend of symphonic, bombastic heavy metal featuring ethereal, melodic gothic
elements and angelic “female vocals of light.”
The four-piece band consists of the congenial duo of multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer
Michael Vetter (BLACK & DAMNED, PUMP, CHINCHILLA) and singer Tanja Hansen, who is also
responsible for the profound lyrics and meaningful vocal melodies. They are supported by the fantastic
rhythm section with bassist Frank Herold, known for his fantastic work with MYSTOPERA, KRAYENZEIT,
and SAIDIAN, and Bernd Heining, who has made a name for himself with his tight and extraordinary
drumming in MYSTOPERA, SKULL & CROSSBONES, and DORNENKÖNIG, among others. The orchestral
and creative symphonic sounds were contributed by first-class session musicians Daniel Galmarini and
Steve Dittrich.
„From Dark to Light“ is likely to appeal most to fans of ethereal female vocals combined with spiritual
lyrics, deep and passionate guitars, melodic and mysterious harmonies, and hypnotic beats. The album
is characterized by heart and soul, joy and deep happiness, a penchant for detailed perfection balanced
with authenticity and special dedication. As a special surprise, PARHELYON was able to secure Michelle
Darkness from END OF GREEN as a guest vocalist for the song „Luminus“. His dark vocals and powerful
growls make him the perfect Luciferian counterpart to Tanja’s angelic singing.
The vocals were recorded in close collaboration with Roland “Bobbes” Seidel (BLACK & DAMNED,
IHRESGLEICHEN) in his studio. Stefan Leibing (ex-PRIMAL FEAR) was responsible for the mixing and
mastering and tailored the perfect sound for the album.
