The Australian band MYSTERY, once known as one of the youngest Hard Rock band touring the world, has grown up. And they have never stopped evolving. Founded in 2010 by guitarist and singer Rocky Ravic, the band quickly rose to international prominence. Their debut album “2013” and its follow-up “From Dusk Till Dawn” were followed by extensive touring, gigs and festival appearances around the globe in Japan, Australia, the USA and Europe. After a long break, MYSTERY returned in 2021 with “Live Life Loud”, released in the middle of the Covid pandemic. Despite all the resistance and complications of that time, the band proved once again what they were made of and continued to inspire both longtime fans and a new generation of listeners. Their fourth studio album, “Mind Pollution”, marked another important step in the band’s development and showed MYSTERY better than ever before. The album presented a firework of melodic Hard Rock with strong hooks and precise, memorable choruses.
MYSTERY are now ready to enter the next chapter. Musically, “Out For Blood” builds directly on the foundation laid by “Mind Pollution”, while at the same time taking a decisive step forward. The new album sounds more focused and self-confident. It reflects a band that has continuously grown and evolved. The songwriting and arrangements have matured, while MYSTERY’s trademark blend of melodic Hard Rock and powerful, catchy choruses remains at the heart of their music. One undoubtedly important influence on this development was Rocky’s musical excursion with HIDEN, an international all-star Heavy Metal project that allowed him to explore musical territory beyond MYSTERY. This experience opened up new creative paths and musical horizons for Rocky, which he brought into the making of the new album. Within the band itself, new musical partners have also brought fresh energy and a new dynamic. Jake Tyler on bass and Gavin Hill on drums have both had a noticeable impact on the band’s sound, providing a new musical foundation. Another major change can be found behind the mixing desk. “Out For Blood” was mixed and mastered by Mikael Sehlin, best known as the vocalist of Swedish Metal powerhouse AMARANTHE. Mikael not only shaped the album’s powerful and slightly more modern sound, but also made a special contribution to the single “My Own Eyes”, where he can be heard both on vocals and guitar.
With “Out For Blood”, MYSTERY continue their journey without looking back with any sense of nostalgia. Quite the opposite, the band that once conquered stages around the world as one of the youngest Hard Rock acts has grown into a mature and confident force that always looks ahead with optimism. Yet they have never lost what has defined them from the very beginning, energy, attitude and pure passion. And now MYSTERY are ready to hit the road again. At the end of 2026, the band will be touring Japan and Australia. In 2027, the band finally plans to return to Europe, celebrating their long-awaited comeback to European stages!
